My Purpose
My goal is to analyze poetry. The reason behind why I am writing and analyzing poetry is a project for my class. As a student being to analyze meanings is very important. It is a valued skill to be capable of understanding what is presented in written text. With this website I hope to have analyzed poetry in way that has expressed the true meaning behind what was written, or the author’s purpose. Poetry is one of the points of views that can be deciphered in many ways depending on that person, and it is not simple when you have to configure what the author’s purpose in writing is. The reason behind choosing the poet Robert Frost is in the way he writes. The way he chooses to write poetry, personally intrigues me. His poetry has a clear story and imagery, but has a hidden meaning behind it. That fact in turn probably makes it even more of a difficulty to understand. It has a clear understanding of what is being written, but one has to look deeper into the understanding of that story to find a not so clear universal understanding. That is another factor of Frost that is why I chose him as my analysis, he presents a universal theme instead of the common use of poetry as a personal media. I hope that I can give a clear understanding of Robert Frost as a poet, by analyzing his poems.
